We process your personal data for the following purposes and legal grounds:

• participation in the conference 'Circus- a safe(r) space for danger'
• contractual and freelance cooperation within the framework of our activities
• ticket purchase and ticket handling to participate in the conference 'Circus- a safe(r) space for danger'
• sending invitations regarding our own activities
• sending digital newsletters concerning the 'Circus- a safe(r) space for danger' conference

Insofar as the processing of personal data takes place on the basis of consent, you always have the right to withdraw the consent given.

For the above purposes, we may request and/or process the following personal data from you:

• Personal identity data: surname, first name, address
• Additional contact data: telephone number, e-mail address
• Government-issued identity data: identity card number, National Register number
• Personal specifications: date of birth, place of birth, gender/gender, nationality
• Financial details (including account number, payments, etc.)
• Education and training

We only collect personal data that you yourself communicate to us in various ways (e.g. registration forms, ticket purchase, completion and contact forms on our website, personal/telephone/email contact, ...). We do not collect personal data through third parties, with the exception of information received from the conference organising partners. We use the data collected only for the purposes for which we obtained the data. Circuscentrum does not process data that reveals your racial or ethnic origin, or your political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, health or life data or data about your sexual orientation, or genetic or biometric data.

During the conference photo and video recordings will be made. This is for our own use on our online media, such as Facebook, Instagram, newsletters and website, as well as the online media, newsletters and websites of the organising partners (Ell Circo D'ell Fuego, MAD Festival) and supporting partners (FEDEC, EYCO, Caravan and Circostrada). If you want us to remove a picture of you from these channels. Please be sure to let us know via the contact details at the top of this page.

Circuscentrum treats your personal data with the utmost care and only shares your data to offer you the best services in carrying out its mission. Circuscentrummay send your data to organisations with which it is directly or indirectly connected.

We may provide the data you provide to us to third parties if this is necessary for carrying out the purposes described above. For example, Circuscentrum uses a third-party service provider for:

• Providing the internet environment (web hosting)
• Taking care of IT infrastructure (e.g. IT network, registration tool,...)
• Providing (and distributing) newsletters and invitations
• Ticket purchase and ticket handling
• Graphic layout of publications related to the 'Circus- a safe(r) space for danger' conference
• Monitoring and controlling our finances (accounting firm, auditor)

Circuscentrum may share your personal data with the following external parties as recipients:

• Government bodies, subsidizing or supervisory authorities when there is a legal obligation to transfer information

With these parties, we naturally make the necessary arrangements to ensure the security of your personal data and that your data is treated confidentially. Circuscentrum may, however, share personal data with other third parties if you give us explicit permission to do so. You have the right to withdraw this consent at any time.

Circuscentrum will retain your personal data for no longer than is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which the data is collected. This period is linked to Circuscentrum's legal and tax obligations, as well as the legal need to keep your data beyond the retention period for evidence or to respond to requests for information from the competent authority, being 10 years in the context of Circuscentrum's contractual liability. Outside this period, your personal data will be deleted or anonymised.

Circuscentrum maintains strict standards to protect the personal data under its control from unauthorised or unlawful processing and from accidental loss, destruction or damage. Circuscentrum therefore takes measures of a technical and organisational nature, such as encryption, anti-virus firewalls, access controls, strict selection of employees and suppliers, to prevent and detect inappropriate access, loss or disclosure of your personal data. In particular, all persons who may access your data on behalf of Circuscentrum are informed of the importance of protecting personal data and are aware of its confidential nature. Circuscentrum maintains a password policy on its CRM and database systems and backs up personal data in order to recover it in the event of physical or technical incidents. In the unlikely and unfortunate event that your personal data under Circuscentrum's control is nevertheless compromised due to an information security breach, Circuscentrum will act promptly to identify the cause of such breach and take action through appropriate measures. If necessary, Circuscentrum will notify you of this incident in accordance with applicable law.

• You have the right to access and copy personal data relating to you.
• You have the right to rectification and completion if your data is incorrect or incomplete.
• You have the right to data erasure (deletion) of the personal data we have received from you that is no longer strictly necessary for the purposes for which it was processed. However, we reserve the right to determine whether your request is justified.
• You have the right to restriction of data processing: if you object to the processing of certain data, you can ask for this processing to stop.
• You can also object (oppose) the way certain personal data of yours are processed. For example, you have the right to object to the use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes (via unsubscribe options in e-mails).
• You also have the right to have us transfer the data you have provided to yourself or on your behalf directly to another party.

If you participate in an activity organised by Circuscentrum, images may be taken that may appear in Circuscentrum's communication channels. If you feel that your image is being used by Circuscentrum without your permission, please notify us via a simple email to info@circuscentrum.be. We will then remove this image if possible.

You can contact us at the address at the top of this privacy statement to exercise your rights, accompanied by a motivation for your request. We may ask you to identify yourself before we can comply with the aforementioned requests.No category of persons will be subjected to any form of automated decision-making or profiling.

Should you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data or the exercise of your rights, we ask you to contact us directly about this.
